PETALING JAYA: National bowler Timmy Tan (pic) has what it takes to go far in the Professional Bowling Association (PBA) Players Championship but he cannot afford to be slow in getting into the groove.

The 29-year-old Timmy squeezed into the main event after finishing 26th with 1,532 pins in the Pre-tournament Qualifier of the PBA season opener in the United States yesterday.
