IT’S going to be a quiet opening day for Malaysia unless cyclist Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom and his teammates can beat the odds to deliver a stunner in the team sprint event at the Lee Valley Velodrome in London today.

With Tokyo Olympic Games silver medallist Azizulhasni Awang out of the picture as he is recovering from corrective heart surgery, his training partner Shah Firdaus leads a newer generation of track riders for the Commonwealth Games challenge this time.
