PETALING JAYA: Pure perseverance won the day for Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom as he bagged a superb silver in the men’s keirin event at the second leg of the Track Nations Cup in Cairo, Egypt.

It was just three weeks ago when he had a nasty crash in the final lap of the keirin final at the opening leg in Jakarta that left him with broken skin and bruises.
