NILAI: Azizulhasni Awang has a chance to bow out on a golden note but don’t count out Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom from stealing his idol’s thunder in the keirin event in the Asian Track Cycling Championships in Nilai today.

Azizul, fresh from winning the sprint on Friday, will return to the National Velodrome today to make a bid to win an unprecedented 12th career Asian championships title but he is not the only one shouldering the challenge. Shah Firdaus is also in with a chance to make a career breakthrough and land the gold after closely missing out in the keirin final at the 2022 edition in New Delhi.
