Keirin pro Shah Firdaus out to overcome self-doubt and be in top shape for Asiad

PETALING JAYA: Keirin specialist Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom is not just in a race to get in top shape but also to overcome his self-doubt for the track cycling team’s mission to bring back gold from the Hangzhou Asian Games.

The 27-year-old, who has been picked as the flag bearer for the contingent along with squash player S. Sivasangari, admitted he is still trying to overcome the trauma from two big crashes at the Hong Kong Track Cup series in May and the Asian Track Cycling Championships in Nilai in June.
