LANGKAWI: The absence of Genting Highlands on this year’s Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) race route will leave the door wide open for intense competition.

Although teams will still have tough climbs to conquer, LTdL chief operating officer Emir Abdul Jalal expects close battles as teams will focus on sprinters and all-round riders.
