Malucelli’s Stage 7 success on same date as his mum’s passing eight years ago

BINTULU: Italian rider Matteo Malucelli’s second stage win at Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) yesterday meant a lot to him as his mother had passed away eight years ago on the same date.

Having already won Stage 2 from Arau to Butterworth, the JCL Team Ukyo rider clinched his second win after riding 199.3km from Miri to Bintulu, placing him in 63rd position out of 103 riders for the green jersey (overall leader).
