NSC give MNCF until Dec 31 to decide on Azizul’s future


KUALA LUMPUR: The National Sports Council (NSC) have given the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) until Dec 31 to confirm track cycling ace Azizulhasni Awang’s participation in the Podium Programme next year.

NSC deputy director-general (Sports Development) Jefri Ngadirin said if the 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medallist agrees to remain in the Podium Programme, he (Azizul) must comply with the key performance indicator (KPI) set by the NSC, including qualifying for the UCI Track World Championships in Santiago, Chile in October 2025.
