NILAI: National track cyclist Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom put on a brave face after narrowly missing out on his long-awaited gold medal at the Asian Championships.

The 29-year-old Shah Firdaus took a bold approach in the men’s elite keirin final, risking it all by leading the field from the start in a ride that could have been worthy of gold on Tuesday, but he was left heartbroken.
