Malaysia held to a goalless draw

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian national team were held to a goalless draw by Thai Premier League side Chonburi FC in a friendly match at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil last night.

Datuk K. Rajagopal’s side, however, had a better outing in the second half.

The introduction of striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, winger Christie Jayaseelan and midfielder Nazmi Faiz Mansor forced the Thai’s into deep defence but Malaysia still failed to break the deadlock.

The national team’s next assignment is against English Premier League giants Chelsea at the Shah Alam Stadium this weekend.
