Old man Sandro has claws out for title

PETALING JAYA: He missed Christmas and New Year with his loved ones but Sandro Mendonca (pic) still had reason to celebrate. The 36-year-old midfielder, who has been retained by Selangor for the 2020 Super League season, knows he has been doing a great job.“I believe that’s why I have been given a new contract, ” said the 36-year-old midfielder whose first love is football.

He could not go back to Fortaleza, Brazil, for Christmas and New Year as Selangor gave the players only a four-day break. Travelling to his hometown alone would take almost two days.
