IPOH: When Pahang striker Dickson Nwakaeme (pic) arrived for pre-season training in January, his first thoughts were not too pleasant.

He told coach Dollah Salleh and his teammate Mohamadou Sumareh that the team would suffer in the Super League due to the club’s reliance on young players.
