It was actually Tunku Ampuan Durah

In our story headlined “Ode to Malaysian Football’s Mummy” on Sunday, May 10, it was wrongly reported that the first women’s football match in the country was officiated by Tunku Ampuan Najihah Almarhum Tunku Besar Burhanuddin, the wife of Tuanku Jaafar Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

It was actually officiated by Tunku Ampuan Durah Almarhum Tunku Besar Burhanuddin, who was Tunku Ampuan Negri Sembilan in 1961. The photograph also shows Parameswary pinning a brooch on Tunku Ampuan Durah.
