Soccer-Germany set to ban fans from Bundesliga games - Saxony premier

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany will decide on Thursday that all Bundesliga matches should be played in empty stadiums as the country struggles to contain the fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the premier of the eastern state of Saxony said on Tuesday.

Leaders of Germany's 16 federal states held talks with outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel and incoming Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday to discuss what steps to take next to contain the crisis.
