(Reuters) - Serie A strugglers Venezia have sacked coach Paolo Zanetti and replaced him with Andrea Soncin until the end of the season, the club said in a statement on Wednesday.
Zanetti helped Venezia earn promotion back to the Italian top flight after a 19-year absence last season, but leaves with his team rock bottom of Serie A, six points from safety, on the back of eight successive league defeats.
