The need for Harimau Malaya to be given a permanent place to call home

IN August 2019, the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil was officially declared the home of Harimau Malaya, the national football team, following the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the FA of Malaysia (FAM) and the Malaysia Stadium Corporation (PSM).

FAM president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin and the high-profile chairman of PSM, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, signed the MoU, with the then Youth and Sports Minister, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, as the VIP witness.
