Vietnam humbles Malaysia 4-1 in AFF Under-23 Championship semi-final

PETALING JAYA: Harimau Muda’s hopes of getting to the final of the AFF Under-23 Championship were quashed after they lost to Vietnam 4-1 in the semi-final at the Rayong Province Stadium on Thursday (Aug 24)

Vietnam’s hero was Dinh Xuan Tien when he scored two goals in the seventh and 42nd minute.

The other goals were scored by Nguyen Quoc Viet in the 32nd minute and Nguyen Hong Phuc in the 85th minute.

Malaysia’s only goal was scored by Alif Ikmalrizal Anuar in the 49th minute.
