PETALING JAYA: Sabah have not been idle despite not having any matches to play in the last two weeks.

The Rhinos have stayed sharp and focused thanks to their intense training sessions.

And coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee believes they will be fit to take on Vietnamese club Haiphong in their AFC Cup Group H game at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu today.

Sabah have a score to settle with the Red Tides as they suffered a 3-2 defeat in their away match on Oct 25.

‘’We know what a dangerous side Haiphong can be after we lost to them. This time, we have home advantage, so that is something that I am telling the boys to capitalise on,’’ said Kim Swee.

“We must not concede an early goal and if we score early, we must be on our toes.”

Meanwhile, Haiphong coach Chu Dinh Nghiem admitted that his team are dealing with an injury crisis, as their key striker Lucao Vinicius is not available.

‘’For us, we just want a point. That will be our aim. We have lots of injuries, so I do not want to have high hopes but I still believe in the other players,’’ he said.
