His teammates did not disappoint.

In front of the charismatic player who they fondly call "Mickey", the Red Giants bulldozed past the Deer 4-0 in the FA Cup last 16 match on Saturday (June 15).

Loud cheers were heard when Faisal and his family arrived at the stadium.

Faisal waved back in response and the cheers got louder as word of his presence spread around the stadium.

Later, the national player was seen hugging his son in the stands.

With Faisal in the stands, Selangor got into high gear from the start of the match and scored as early as the fifth minute through playmaker Yohandry Orozco, who beat Negri goalkeeper Syahmi Adib Haikal Mohd Shukri.

The second goal came in the 13th minute when Negri centreback Aliyu Abubakar misjudged the path of the ball and Orozco capitalised by going around Syahmi and put the ball in the net.

Winger Alvin Fortes added the third when he received a deft through pass from midfielder Noaa Laine and unleashed a shot past Syahmi.

He found the net again in the 67th minute.

Selangor will face Kuching City in a two-legged tie in the quarter-finals.
