Kamada moves to Palace on free transfer from Lazio

LONDON: Crystal Palace have signed Japan midfielder Daichi Kamada (pic) from Lazio on a two-year deal, the Premier League club said on Monday.

Kamada will join Palace on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Lazio after spending a season in Serie A.

The 27-year-old will be reunited with Palace manager Oliver Glasner, who he played under at Eintracht Frankfurt.

“I’m excited to be joining Crystal Palace, and to be working with Oliver - who is a coach I know well - again,” Kamada said in a statement.

“I am looking forward to testing myself in the Premier League, and hopefully the club and I can achieve all of our objectives together.”

Kamada will be the second signing at Selhurst Park after Morocco centreback Chadi Riad.
