Lethal Turtles make Tomislav’s day

PETALING JAYA: Terengganu coach Tomislav Steinbruckner (pic) was delighted with his side’s potent attacking display as they tore Sabah to shreds in the second leg of their FA Cup quarter-final match at the Likas Stadium on Saturday.

The Rhinos, noted for their discipline and sound organisation, had no answer to the in-form Turtles as they notched a 3-0 win to advance 7-0 on aggregate.

Terengganu scored through wingers Safawi Rasid (10th minute), Akhyar Rashid (43rd) and midfielder Marin Pilj (86th).

“We got the quick goals and after that, we didn’t give a full performance and almost allowed Sabah back into the game. To be honest, Sabah deserved some goals.

“They weren’t clinical while we took our chances. For that, I’m delighted.’’
