PFAM president Safee slams club over money matters

PETALING JAYA: Enough is enough.

Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) president Safee Sali (pic) who played for Kuala Lumpur in the past, was livid with the salary issue faced by the players.

He was responding to KL captain Paulo Josue, who said that he had not been paid seven months of salary since December.

Safee said the club must be responsible to settle the players’ dues.

“When we voice out, people say we are tarnishing the image of football, but when Paulo faced such a situation, who is to be blamed?” said Safee.

“We are observing and watching what the authorities are doing.

‘‘Please monitor and do something proactive to handle this matter. Many clubs have failed when it comes to salaries.

“I’m not playing in the league anymore but I’m still passionate about the game.

“I know the pain faced by the players.

‘‘Take responsibility or just get out of this sport. This life, you have an option.”
