Football: Malaysia’s Asean Under-19 title defence ends after defeat to Indonesia


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s defence of the Asean Under-19 Championship has ended.

The Harimau Muda squad led by Spaniard Juan Torres Garrido lost to home side Indonesia 1-0 in the semi-final at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya on Saturday (July 27).

Indonesia’s lone goal was scored by Alfharezzi Buffon in the 78th minute.

Malaysia will play in the third-fourth playoff game against Australia at the Bung Tomo on Monday (July 29).
