PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have booked a spot in the FA Cup final after beating Kedah 5-1 on aggregate in the two-legged semi-final.
In the second leg, the Southern Tigers beat the Canaries 3-0 at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri on Sunday (Aug 4).
Goals were scored by centreback Feroz Baharuddin (50th minute), Brazilian striker Bergson Da Silva (75th) and Spanish winger Juan Muniz (82nd).
JDT won the first-leg 2-1 in Alor Setar on July 19.
JDT are the reigning champions of the cup when they beat Kuala Lumpur 2-0 in the final last year at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
They also bagged the trophy in 2022, beating Terengganu 3-1 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
JDT will take on Selangor in the final at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Aug 24.
