Selangor start off continental campaign with a point


PETALING JAYA: Selangor have kickstarted their AFC Champions League (ACL) Two campaign with a point.

The Red Giants were held 1-1 by Thai side Muangthong United in their opening Group H encounter at the Rajamangala Stadium on Thursday (Sept 19).

The away side opened the scoring in the 58th minute through Chilean striker Ronnie Fernandez.

Muangthong's equaliser came in the 54th minute through winger Purachet Thodsanit

Selangor's next ACL Two game is against Filipino club Cebu at the Petaling Jaya Stadium on Oct 3.
