PETALING JAYA: Terengganu’s struggles continue after they were held 1-1 by Police in the Super League at the Sultan Mizan Stadium in Gong Badak on Friday (Oct 4).

Even after the resignation of under-fire coach Tomislav Steinbruckner on Tuesday (Oct 1), the Turtles, despite their dominance and offensive firepower failed to convert their chances under the tutelage of interim coach Badrul Afzan Razali.

The home side first broke the deadlock through El Salvadoran international striker Nelson Bonilla in the 44th minute.

The Cops countered with an equaliser through Nigerian playmaker Chidi Osuchukwu in the 53rd minute.

Terengganu are now winless in six matches, three in the Super League and two in the AFF Club Championships.

The last game they won was against Kuala Lumpur when they beat them 2-0 in the Super League on Aug 10.

Terengganu remain third with 17 points from 11 games, while Police are fifth with 15 points from 11 matches.
