PETALING JAYA: Nafuzi Zain (pic) has left the Kedah team.

The Super League club confirmed that the coach tendered his resignation on Sunday (Nov 23) and that they have accepted his decision.

Assistant coach Victor Andrag will now be the interim coach of the team starting on Tuesday.

Under Nafuzi's tenure, the Canaries finished fourth in the Super League and brought them to the FA Cup semi-finals last season.

This season, the former Terengganu coach had to deal with the club's financial issues, where players have been owed wages for months.

There were times when players boycotted games but he stood resolute and continued coaching the team.

It is learnt that Nafuzi could join the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) as the National Under-23 coach.
