JDT lose to Shandong 0-1 in ACLE


PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) were handed their second defeat in the AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE) after losing to Shandong Taishan 0-1 at the Jinan Olympic Stadium on Tuesday (Nov 26).

The Chinese Super League side’s goal was scored by Brazilian playmaker Zeca Joaquim in the 68th minute.

JDT are fifth in the standings with seven points from five games, while Shandong are seventh, also with seven points, but JDT are ahead of them thanks to a better goal difference.

The Southern Tigers will next take on Thai club Buriram United at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri on Dec 3.
