Hamidin says will not defend FAM president's post at annual congress

PETALING JAYA: There will be a new Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president next year.

Current president Tan Sri Hamidin Mohd Amin announced on Wednesday (Dec 4) that he will not be defending the post in the FAM Congress scheduled to take place on Feb 15, 2025.

Hamidin won the election for the 2021-2025 term uncontested at the 57th FAM Congress.

He had been serving as FAM president since 2018.

"I want to give an opportunity to our members to choose a new leader," said Hamidin at a press conference after an FAM executive council meeting Wednesday.
