PETALING JAYA: Financial struggles for Kedah don’t seem to ever end.

But it’s extra bad when the players’ partners are the ones starting to lash out at the club’s management.

Mas Hamizah Izhar, the wife of Kedah defender Irfan Zakaria, questioned the club’s management on unpaid salaries, which she claims has been absent for nine months now.

She questioned the higher-ups on social media as to whether they felt any guilt for making the players play when salaries had not been paid.

“Until when will Kedah owe the players? If there is no money, then just shut the club down.

“Don’t you feel any guilt for treating people this way? Players have wives and children to take care of and other commitments as well.

“It’s been nine months. This is terrible,” she said on social media.

Kedah have already been suffering poor training sessions as many players chose to boycott the sessions due to salary arrears.

Interim head coach Victor Andrag had previously said that the players who do show up for training sessions are doing so out of empathy for the coaching staff, who are also experiencing missing wages.

There have also been reports that Kedah management tried to please the players in small amounts to ensure they showed up for training and matches.

Several Kedah players claimed that the management would give them anywhere between RM1000 and RM3000 a month to buy household items, keeping them afloat while their promised salaries were not paid.
