PETALING JAYA: Terengganu got their Asean Club Championship Group A campaign back on track after a thumping 5-0 win over Myanmar's Shan United at Thuwunna Stadium tonight.

The Malaysian side went in front through an early Safawi Rasid penalty before Manny Ott doubled their advantage mid-way through the first half.

Another penalty, this time from Akhyar Rashid after Zwe Htet Min was sent off, saw Terengganu lead 3-0 at the interval.

Ott and Akhyar added further goals after the break while Zwe Khant Min's red card saw Shan United finish the game with nine men as Terengganu moved onto four points from three games and back in contention for a top two finish with two games to play.

Both teams went into the game looking for their first wins of the campaign.

Terangganu will next host Indonesia's PSM Makassar on Jan 22 while Shan United will take on Thailand’s BG Pathum United on the same day in Yangon.
