SCOTTIE Scheffler’s triumph at the Masters last weekend was one that really gave the sport a lift.

The world No 1 consolidated his position at the summit of the game after taming Augusta National Golf Club with a 10-under 278 total. That superb effort gave him a three-shot winning margin over Rory McIlroy, who matched the event’s low last round with a 64.
