PING has achieved the most significant performance gains across the entire new G430 family, with the greatest distance jump in the speed-inducing club.

This was the message from the equipment manufacturers, who said their pros put the new G430 driver into play in record numbers on its first week on tour, “complimenting the faster ball speed and pleasing sound” for the quick and easy transition.

The three models of the driver – the G430 Max, SFT (straight flight) and LST (low spin) – come with new innovations and proven technologies.

“Distance is way up across the new family, forgiveness remains unequalled, and the sound is music to your scorecard – leading to lower scores and a lot more enjoyment on the course,” the company said in a statement.

The key technology in the new driver is the optimised T9S+ forged face, which is shallower and has a variable thickness that is thinner for generating faster ball speed.

“Each models engineered to ensure added distance and forgiveness for a variety of skill levels,” said Ping in the statement.

“The Max (460cc) is the most forgiving and fits the widest range of golfers with three loft options (9°, 10.5° and 12°).

The SFT (460cc) produces right-to-left shot correction in one loft (10.5°) and at 440cc, the smaller tour-style LST is available in 9° and 10.5° lofts and best fits faster swing speeds.

The suggested retail prices are RM4,290 LST, RM3,990 Max and RM3,990 SFT.

“The new G430 irons are the result of a complex design that combines a lower centre of gravity (CG) with stronger, custom-engineered lofts and a thinner face that gives up to two more mph of ball speed, leading to significant distance gains without compromising forgiveness,” read the statement.

“Among the contributors to the distance gains is the PurFlex cavity badge, an engineering advancement that promotes more face bending while ensuring a desirable impact experience,” added Ping.

A proprietary heat-treating process creates Hyper 17-4 stainless steel and strengthens the face, allowing for more flexing that generates increased distance and a higher maximum height to hold shots on the green.

The suggested retail prices are RM6,900 steel (5-PW), RM7,500 graphite (6-PW, 45).

For those approach shots into a long par-4 or going for the par-5 in two, the G430 fairway wood delivers solid contact, speed and a higher ball flight.

In these fairway woods, Ping has developed a Carbonfly Wrap to deliver more distance by positioning the CG closer to the force line to maximise ball speed.

The suggested retail price for the MAX and SFT is RM2,590.

The new G430 hybrids also come with a Carbonfly Wrap, alongside the proven technologies Facewrap and Spinsistency.

With six loft options, they are ideal mid and long-iron replacements – to help fill distance gaps in your game.

The suggested retail price per RM2,190 per piece.
