THE spotlight of the world of golf this week turns to the fabled Pebble Beach Golf Links in Monterey, California where the LPGA’s third major of the season, the 78th US Women’s Open, will take place.

Malaysia will be represented by Jeneath Wong, the 18-year-old having secured her slot with a runner-up finish in a qualifying tournament at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club in California last month.
