Mirabel bags third title of the year on happy hunting ground

Steady improvement: Mirabel put in a stellar performance in the second round with an eagle and six birdies on her way to winning the tournament.

PETALING JAYA: Vietnam continues to be a happy hunting ground for young Malaysian golfer Mirabel Ting as she romped her way to the Vietnam Ladies Amateur Open title in Phu Quoc yesterday.

An even par 72 in the final round yesterday was more than enough for the 17-year-old to secure her third title for this year, claiming victory by a massive eight-stroke margin.
