New professional Liyana grabs Maybank Championship ticket

PETALING JAYA: It’s a perfect start to newly-professional golfer Liyana Durisic as she qualified for the Maybank Championship after finishing in the top five at the Asean Qualifiers at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC) yesterday.

Having just turned professional earlier this week, Liyana posted rounds of 73 and 72, tying her for third place with one-over 145 in the two-day, 36-hole qualifiers.
