KUALA LUMPUR: The brilliance of Malaysian golfers Mirabel Ting and Ashley Lau (pic) saved the just concluded Maybank Championship from losing its shine as the premier women’s golf tournament in the Asean region.

It was just a week before when the likes of world No. 1 Nelly Korda of United States, world No. 2 Lydia Ko of New Zealand and world No. 12 Rose Zhang decided to withdraw, citing injuries.
