Anson Yeo, with a tie for third at the Malaysian Amateur Open, is still the country’s No. 2 amateur player.

MIRABEL Ting, Malaysia’s top-ranked amateur player – men or women – raised the bar further in the local game when she moved up to fourth place in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) this week.

Having already set a new mark by climbing to fifth in the global standings, the rising star attached to Florida State University moved one rung up the ladder without even playing this week.
