Rhythmic gymnast Zhafirah shines in FT clean sweep

IF CASSIDY Tan was the star of rhythmic gymnastics in the Malaysia Games (Sukma) on day one, teammate Nur Zhafirah Kurniawan stole the show on day two as Federal Territories made a clean sweep of the gold medals.

The 14-year-old Zhafirah won the clubs event scoring 27.200 to take gold ahead of 13-year-old Cassidy who scored 25.650. Sarawak’s Jenevieve Tan had to settle for bronze after collecting 24.150.
