PETALING JAYA: India gifted Malaysia with an early spot in the World Cup as they scored a thumping 16-0 victory over Indonesia to check into the super four of the Asia Cup in Jakarta.

India’s passage into the super four meant that Pakistan were eliminated in the group stage, allowing not just Malaysia, but Japan and South Korea to also confirm their World Cup spots.
