PETALING JAYA: Maybank are in with a genuine chance of winning the league title ahead of favourites Tenaga Nasional but they must avoid the tendency of stumbling towards the end of the Malaysian Hockey League (MHL) to miss the boat.
League champions in 1994 and 1995, Maybank had held Tenaga by their throats in the opening MHL match on Feb 2 as they took a 3-0 lead, only to see their rivals fight back for a 3-3 draw.
