PETALING JAYA: National defender Syed Mohd Syafiq Syed Cholan has been promoted as an executive sports officer by his employer Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and he will be focusing on his new job for the time being.
However, national head coach Sarjit Singh has confirmed that Syafiq, who plays as a central defender with captain Marhan Jalil, will remain part of his team and will be given a special training programme.
