Strong debut by young racer Nazim in Porsche race

PETALING JAYA: Debutant Nazim Azman defied all odds to finish fifth in the first round race of the Porsche Carrera Asia Cup at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Nazim has experience as a F3 driver last year but it said it was totally different for him to compete in the PCCA PRO category in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car run by Earl Bamber Motosport. Nazim clocked 2:16.196 to finish in the top five.
