Kasma out to tame Jasin track to maintain CP150 lead

PETALING JAYA: Kasma Daniel Kasmayuddin of Petronas Sprinta Yamaha Maju Motor will double up his efforts to maintain his overall standings in the CP150 category in Round 3 of the Petronas Malaysian Cub Prix Championship at Bandar Jasin Bestari this weekend.

After three years of absence in the Jasin vicinity, the championship will be back once again to bring cheer and a wholesome experience to the local fans.

The riders of the CP150 category are all prepared to showcase their best performances and Kasma, who is currently at the top with a total of 35 points, is sure to inject a competitive stride.

The Johor-born felt he has a better understanding when it comes to circuits that are more technical.

“When I look at the circuit layout, I noticed that the Jasin circuit has more straight lines, which poses more challenge for the Yamaha 150cc machine,” he said.

“I do not have much time to work on my preparations for Round 3 as I was away racing in Sugo in the All Japan Road Race Championship last week.

“I am still quite confident with the team’s abilities in working on the best setup done for this weekend.

“Personally, I’m more of a technical circuit guy. For the round in Jasin, I will give my best shot to maintain my position,” said the former world championship rider.
