Hafizh finishes fourth in Suzuka’s eight-hour race

PETALING JAYA: Rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah (pic) marked a commendable return to the FIM World Endurance Championship by finishing fourth at the Suzuka 8 Hours in Japan on Sunday.

Hafizh, who was racing for Ducati Team Kagayama in a one-off appearance for the third round of the series, had qualified in second place together with teammates Ryo Mizuno of Japan and Australia’s Joshua Waters. However, the team lost vital ground when Hafizh was delayed in restarting the Panigale V4R during the first round.
