High chance for Sepang to crown world champ after 15 years

SEPANG: It has been a long time since motorsport fans witnessed the crowning of the MotoGP world champion at Sepang.

The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) chief executive officer Azhan Shafriman Hanif is hoping to see either Jorge Martin of Spain or Francesco Bagnaia of Italy end the MotoGP title chase on Malaysian soil this Sunday. Valentino Rossi of Italy was the last rider to do so in the premier class, securing the last of his seven world titles at Sepang in 2009.
