Francesco Bagnaia wins MalaysianGP


PETALING JAYA: Italy's Francesco Bagnaia keeps his title hopes alive after taking the chequered flag at the Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix on Sunday (Nov 3).

The Ducati Lenovo team rider crossed the finish line at the Sepang International Circuit with a time of 38:04.563, ahead of championship leader Jorge Martin of Spain, who finished 3.141s behind in his Prima Pramac Racing bike.

The gap between defending champion Bagnaia and Martin is now 24 points, with the title going down to the wire at the final race, which is to be announced following the cancellation of the Valencia Grand Prix due to deadly floods in the city this week.

Bagnaia's teammate Enea Bastianini of Italy rounded off the podium, crossing the line 10.484s behind the winner to take third place.
