Rear tyre issue leaves Helmi behind as he finishes 23rd


Unlucky rider: Helmi Azman was wheel-to-wheel with the riders around him, but his pace started to slow down due to wear on his rear tyre.

PETALING JAYA: Issues with the rear tyre saw wildcard rider Mohd Helmi Azman finish the Moto2 race 23rd out of 30 riders in the Malaysia Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit yesterday.

Racing for Petronas MIE Racing, Helmi started the race in 29th on the grid, and quickly moved up the pack to 20th within the opening lap.
