PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s T. Sharmila and Shree Sharmini served notice of their potential to become formidable karate exponents with gold medal winning performances in the 10th Asian junior championships in Hong Kong on Monday.
Sharmila won in the girls’ above 59kg final kumite competition while rookie Shree emerged as the champion in the girls’ above 60kg event.
