SEBASTIAN Vettel said a “perfect” race at the Korean Grand Prix yesterday was ruined by an engine failure that could well cost the German a maiden Formula One world championship.
Starting from pole, the 23-year-old Red Bull driver was never headed in the treacherous conditions until he slowed dramatically on the start-finish straight of the new Yeongam circuit on lap 46, and was forced to retire when the Renault engine in his car expired two corners later.
